Activated carbon is especially useful for reducing chlorine-related taste, odours and selected organic compounds. It is commonly used before an RO membrane to protect the system and improve sensory quality.
After RO purification, a finishing stage can improve taste and restore a more balanced mineral profile. The exact mineral contribution depends on the cartridge and water contact time.
UV-LED treatment at the dispensing point is designed as an additional hygiene measure. It complements filtration but does not replace proper cleaning, maintenance or safe source water.
SPE/PEM electrolysis generates molecular hydrogen and uses a membrane to separate reaction products. Hydrogen bottles require potable water and are not water-purification devices.
Real-world performance depends on correct installation, cartridge life and source-water quality. Replace consumables on schedule and use laboratory testing when a specific contaminant must be verified.
